Welcome to Control Panel for YouTube

This welcome page will only be displayed once - for extension news and updates, follow @ControlPanelFT on Twitter or @soitis.dev on Bluesky.

To view and change extension options, click in your browser's toolbar, then click Control Panel for YouTube - you can also use this menu to pin the icon to your toolbar for quick access to settings. tap , then tap . click in your browser's toolbar.

To show you what it can do, most of Control Panel for YouTube's options are enabled by default

Default options include:

• Blocking ads
• Hiding Shorts
• Making more room for regular videos by hiding stream VODs, Mixes, Members only and Upcoming videos, and low-view videos in Related
• Increasing the number of videos visible at once in Home, Subscriptions, and Search
• Hiding non-essential UI elements which add clutter, tidying the sidebar on desktop, fixing common UI annoyances, and reverting weird UI changes YouTube makes

Note: if you already have an adblocker that's working well for you on YouTube, we recommend disabling Control Panel for YouTube's built-in adblocking to avoid conflicts.
